1. Treeno Permissions
If a user does not have permission to view a certain cabinet, folder, or files, the files will appear to not exist for that user. If they should have permission for the said item but they don't, follow the below steps to verify their user and group permissions. After completing those two steps, make sure the user logs out of the Treeno Web Portal and then logs back in to reset their permissions.
2. File Monitor Permissions
File Monitor needs to have the appropriate permissions to access network folders. This is primarily a File Monitor Application issue. Install for "everybody" on the master Admin account of end user workstation to avoid access control issues.
If you believe your installation currently has installation issues, please follow the instructions on How To Reinstall File Monitor.
3. Bad Barcode Quality
Best practice: Print up-to-date, high quality barcodes.
- If folders are changed or re-created, they will require a new barcode.
- Barcodes cannot be printed in gray-scale or they will not work.
- If you can see any visual defects in a barcode, (lines, grainy, pixelated) it will most likely cause problems.
4. File Monitor is not Running
If you are using a network scanner and your File Monitor installation is on your server, check with your network administrator to verify that the File monitor service is running.
If you are using a scanner directly connected to your computer, or if your computer is responsible for uploading files to Treeno, than you are are most likely using the File Monitor Application. You will know if it is running by checking you notifications in the bottom right of your screen.
If you do not see the above icon, File Monitor is not running and you will need to start it by locating it in your program files. If you are using Windows 7, you can simply click on your Start Menu and type "file", and File Monitor should appear.
